FCE Weekly Catchup – W/C 16 January 2017

Fife Centre for Equalities will offer an Inclusive Communication workshop, on Thursday 23 February, from 9:30 to 16:00, at Kinghorn Community Centre, Rossland Place, KinghornKY3 9SS. This is a one-day course, which aims to expand your thinking about inclusive communication as well as to help you develop strategies for tackling communication barriers. You will acquire a better understanding of the ethos and values of inclusive communication; an increased awareness and ability to identify communication barriers; a better knowledge of different types of inclusive communication; confidence in applying inclusive communication in the workplace.

Fairer Fife has commissioned a number of national organisations to develop workshops to help all advice agencies support hard-up families in Fife. Fife Centre for Equalities is interested to hear your experience if you are experiencing poverty because of your protected characteristics. Please get in touch with Nina, Manager, nina@centreforequalities.org.uk, if you would like to share your stories.

Greener Kirkcaldy is organising the Talking About Climate Change workshop, on Wednesday 18 January, from 18:00 to 20:00, at the Adam Smith Theatre, in Kirkcaldy, to discuss the issue of climate change and view some short films from around the world.
