FCE Weekly Catchup – w/c 27 March 2017


Fife Centre for Equalities is hosting an Equality Election Hustings on Wednesday 26 April 2017, from 18:30 to 20:30, at New Volunteer House, 16 Fergus Place, Kirkcaldy KY1 1XT. The Scottish local elections 2017 will be held on Thursday, 4 May, candidates of all the Scottish parties will participate in this hustings, so you may question them on issues relating to equality. No need to book a place, just come with your questions. Light refreshments will be served from 18:00.

Fife Centre for Equalities is offering an exciting full-time (35hrs a week) Modern Apprenticeship – Information and Communications Assistant to a Fife young person with a disability or long-term health condition who is interested in media and communications. The programme will train the candidate in core skills of business administration and provide them with practice in a real working environment.

The workshop Inclusive Communication, offered by Fife Centre for Equalities, will take place on Wednesday 24 May, from 9:30 to 16:00, at Kinghorn Community Centre. This is a training day aimed at developing the participants’ ability to use inclusive communication and at helping them to identify strategies for tackling communication barriers.
