Fife Council voted for a 3% tax rise from April 2018, with Band D going up a level to £1186.09 per year, rent by 4.9% along with a set of difficult decisions in order to reduce the budget by £12.8 million.

The impact of cuts approximate the loss of 190 full-time equivalent posts. Funds have been pledged to expand breakfast clubs, the Quid a Kid and summer swims schemes among others.
