Muslim Council of Scotland invite all to vigil for peace
In the wake of rising hate crime, the Muslim Council of Scotland has organised a national vigil for peace. Scots across the nation will stand together to reject hatred and division.
Dr Muhammad Habib, Convenor of MCS said:
” The community is still in much pain over the New Zealand Mosque terrorist attack. We have now heard the deeply troubling news that mosques in Birmingham have been vandalised.
These vigils are a powerful way to show our solidarity together as a nation and reaffirm our values as peaceful citizens inclusive of all. “
The vigils will take place on Saturday 23 March 2pm. Guest speaker at the vigil in Glasgow will be the Lord Provost. There will be an opportunity to share messages of love and peace, a prayer will also be said in tribute for those who have lost their lives.
We invite all to attend.
