Fife Council highlighted the issue of domestic abuse as part of Scottish Housing Day yesterday. 11% of homeless people are forced into this situation because of domestic abuse and household disputes, with 4,436 incidents of domestic abuse and 944 sexual crimes being reported in Fife in the last year.

The Fife Housing Partnership and the Women’s Health Improvement Research project have been working with victims of domestic abuse and those who have experienced homelessness to improve support in housing.
