Equalities Monthly - March 2024!

Hello world!

Welcome to the March edition of our Equalities Monthly, we can't believe how quickly the month has flown by! We're excited to show you all of the local events, awareness days, consultation opportunities and more.

We are always on the lookout for new activities and updates to add to our monthly, if you or your organisation has something coming up that you would like us to share, contact us and let us know.

You can also submit events to our new look Equality Calendar!

What have we been up to at FCE?

February has been a month of planning, preparing and analysing for us here at FCE! We have been busy preparing evaluations and analysis as part of our end of year reporting.

The Fife Equalities Forum came together on 14 Feb 2024, with members sharing service updates and exciting new opportunities for collaboration.

Our ME60+ Members, friends and Companion Support volunteers joined us on Tue 27 Feb 2024 to discuss the future of the project and make new connections.

On 08 Mar 2024 we were at Dunfermline East Church celebrating International Women's Day! A big thank you to all of our workshop leaders, stallholders and volunteers for helping us on the day.

Sarah was at Starks Park on 09 Mar 2024 handing out goodie bags to celebrate International Women's Day.

We attended the Dunfermline Soroptimists event on 14 Mar 2024 as part of their International Women's Day activities.

International Women's Day 2024 Celebrations

We'd like to say a huge thank you to all of the stallholders, workshop leaders, volunteers and staff who made our International Women's Day 2024 celebrations such a success.

We had a great afternoon of activities, with interesting book readings, thought-provoking collage-making, relaxing yoga and an informative talk on health screening.

Looking forward to gathering again next year. If you are interested in participating with an information stall about your services or hosting a workshop in 2025, you can get in touch and we'll make sure we keep you informed.

Consultations to look out for

Lynebank Green Space Survey

As part of NHS Fife's wider Greenspace Strategy, the Fife Health and Social Care Partnership are seeking feedback from both staff and visitors at Lynebank.

They would like to understand their preferences on potential additions to the site, the manner in which they intend to utilise the space, and the benefits they anticipate for themselves, their colleagues, as well as the broader community and local biodiversity.

Click Greenspace @ Lynebank - Questionnaire (google.com) to have your say in the survey.

In March, the Health Promotion team will be partnering with Estates to gather feedback from their staff and visitors about what they'd like to see developed on the site. Please see details attached below 👇
