Fife Interfaith and Belief Network Relaunch - July 2024

A big thank you to everyone who came along to our Fife Interfaith and Belief Network Relaunch on Wednesday, 17th July 2024!

The purpose of this first event was to highlight the successes of the Fife Interfaith Group over the years, but also lay the foundations for its revitalisation and to learn more about what the Fife community are looking for from their Interfaith Network.

It was a great day for all to meet / meet again with leaders of religious and interfaith groups in Fife, as well as an occasion to welcome members from all beliefs and none who want to reach out to others to bring forward a movement for peace.

We were lucky to have great weather, we started off the day with a coffee morning, a short presentation covering the history of the Interfaith movement in Fife and a few of us also walked over to the Peace Garden in Beveridge Park to discuss our hopes and aspirations for the future of the network. Stay posted!

Members of the community shared a few words and reflected and offered suggestions on how to continue the development of the Peace Garden as a focal point for the group and wider communities.

There were interesting discussions on how the group should take shape, with many attendees offering spaces, activities and potential event ideas for the network to take forward.

We also explored the importance of sharing music, art and stories from across different cultures and faiths, including those who may not necessarily follow a mainstream religion or belief but wish to connect with other people and learn more about our differences and acknowledge our similarities.

Following on from the relaunch, we hope to create an active network that provides practical experiences and offers a supporting, welcoming and hospitable space for all faiths, beliefs and non-beliefs.
